Jan 25, 2013 by

Welcome to the premiere edition of The Internet by Brandy Bell (published fortnightly), where I promise you’ll find something you love. From a rapping WASP to the 35 best beaches around the world, this is a sweet collection of favorites.

Next edition will feature a device that is changing the world, and it’s less than $20. Don’t forget to join the Newsletter (it’s on the right!) as my monthly email “How to Travel For Free” is coming soon!

The Clearest Water in 35 sweet spots around the globe

You read it. It’s got my heart pounding, and planning my next beach vacation. Which might wind up being in South East Asia, again– there’s a few too many tempting beaches on this list – which one’s your favorite?

Mind Blowing Painting Skills

These titles are dead on. For anyone who thinks their dreams are too extreme, just look at what this talented kid creates! Can anyone tell if this is real? Now, go be inspired all over this planet.

This one’s for the moms

Actually, it’s for anyone who has a sense of humor and likes to laugh at drooling ankle biters. This mom’s got style and a nice flow, two thumbs up.

My fave line?

“I express like the best from these holes in my chest,
wear my nursing bra like a bulletproof vest.
Got my bitches at my side (it’s okay, she’s got real bitches!)
and hose in the back. “

If you don’t laugh 35 times, I’ll refund your money.*

35 Travel Tips about Thailand

This one comes from our friends at Never Ending Voyage. All these tips are wonderful, and bring a nostalgic smile to my face.  If you’re traveling to Thailand (or South East Asia) you need to read these.

“Feet are considered unclean – which means no pointing them at anyone or putting them up on a chair. Shoes should always be removed when entering temples, homes, and some shops and businesses. (When in doubt, look for the pile outside).”

My personal favorites are #7, 13 and 16. Whatever you do, ladies- don’t touch a monk!

Proposed Tube Transportation System

New York to Beijing in two hours? “In the video they claim the tube system can be built for a tenth of the cost of a high-speed rail system, and can travel from the US’s East to West Coast in just 45 minutes.” Imagine being put in one of those “drive through bank teller tubes” and being shot across the globe! I’m ready– What are your thoughts?

That’s it for this week’s edition of The Internet, folks. Next Friday we’re kicking off yet another fortnightly feature:
The Travel Map Menu. A selection of countries, from the exotic to ice cold tempting you to travel.  Whet your adventure appetite!

  1. LOVE the motherhood video!

Have you watched the new Total Recall? The tube idea is kind of similar to what they’ve got going on there.

    • This is awesome! I’ve not seen it, but I truly wonder if someone is working on this project. Absolute globalization– what would happen?

  2. Thanks for including our Thailand post and glad it brought back some memories.
