1. The Internet! It’s everywhere, its reliable, and every website imaginable is at your disposal. There is no information blocked because of the country I am in- everything is mine… erm, was mine.
2. Mexican Food. I adore cuisine from all over this world, and there is nothing like home made tsatziki and a Greek salad with fresh bread to satiate my mouth, but damnit- sometimes I want to feel the fire of Mexican food in my mouth, and the cooling creaminess of an avocado… yeah, I want that. Specifically the best avocados FROM….
3. The Best Wine Shop in the World. Okay, it may not be fair to say “in the world”, but I have yet to encounter another as fantastic and friendly as 15 Degrees C Wine Shop & Bar. Friends who are reading this and live in California but have yet to experience this place – I demand you get there ASAP and enjoy every second of it.
4. Friends over for dinner. Here I have many friends that I can go out to dinner with, and I can even use their kitchens in their home to make dinner! But it’s just not the same as having your own home and having people over. Also all the ingredients in the store are different- making cooking a little, interesting!
5. Just kidding, there’s only 4 things. I am so happy in my new life it should be illegal. I am able to talk to the people I love thanks to the wonders of Skype and Facebook. In case you’re wondering, no, I don’t miss my car, I don’t miss my job (maybe the
people from my job)…. I don’t miss the style of life but I do miss the good friends but meeting new ones is what life’s all about!

Dang, girl!!! Those are some pretty legit things to miss. But then again, you’re in an awesome spot and I’d kill for some really good homemade pita and dolmas!
Cheers to you, you’re definitely an inspiration!
Oh yeah, Matt and I will be at 15 Degrees tonight and we’ll have a glass in your honor!
Peace out, take good care of yourself out there!

Oh my gosh, Mexican food–I feel your pain. I just moved to Nice, France for six months and have pretty much come to the realization that I will not have another horchata, taco or enchilada until November. Or even a simple quesadilla! Particularly sad with Cinco de Mayo coming up.
