Over 100,000 people are dead today from a 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. Perhaps you dont even know where Haiti is, or who their people are. Maybe you have never seen photos of this strikingly beautiful country or their people. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter, because somewhere in Haiti right now a mother is sobbing over the body of her dead children, children over their parents, friends, lovers, and families have all been torn apart- some forever.
There is nothing you can do to stop what has happened, but you can help the people who are still alive.
The people who are picking the pieces of their loved ones from collapsed buildings, who have lost everything they ever had in one moment.
The Red Cross has made it SO easy to help – pick up your phone and text “Haiti” to 90999 to donate $10 to this cause. It will take you 30 seconds, and cost you the equivalent of two trips to Starbucks.
Can you sacrifice a latte or two to save a person’s life?
