I’ve got an appetite for lighting dynamite…

Not real dynamite people- unless you know someone who has some- cause that’d be awesome.

No more fires this week – I’m walking the straight and narrow path of the pyros! Of course, it cannot be denied that I enjoy playing with fire in every sense of the word. Which is why when I heard the booming thunder of Zeus at 2am I grabbed a sarong and ran out to my balcony in time to catch the next flash of Greece lightning. (sorry, I couldn’t help it)

Sitting in the cool night air with rain pouring on me, I enjoyed watching the lightning display for 3 hours, until the thunder and lightning gave way to the first colors of the morning.

Soaking wet, with the thunder above my head and the lightning bleaching the sky to a fluorescent white- I heard the beating of my heart growing stronger, the adrenaline pumping through my body from head to toe, I breathed in deeply, and even the air felt electric. I’m hooked on these moments- watching the earth and it’s miracles unfold for me.

I can’t say enough times how thrilled I am to be able to spend 3 hours sitting and watching a lightning display, or practicing yoga, or walking through the forest – I do what I want, when I want, if I want- and it feels divine.

You really should title your blog ” a hundred ways to give your mom a heart attack” I have fortunately learned to take the readings calmly, after all if you are alive to blog, you are alive. On a different note… I want to own my days completely, but alas there is a season for everything. Even taxes! Soon the days of summer will beckon and there will be the sweetness of the sound of music and the beauty of our coast. I will remember you most when I see and feel those moments.
    I love you…

Amazing! Your lovely experience brought to my memory a time in Mexico. The lighting was flashing, the thunder booming and I was swimming in the warm ocean waves. Others were running for shore. I was not. I stayed. I felt. Thanks for causing me to remember.
